WP2 - Brokerage Events

Objectives:

At the moment, there is no intensive cooperation between the NCPs of the Environment inclusive Climate Change theme in organising transnational Brokerage Events (BE).
The objective of this work package is to organise 5 transnational BE with different thematic or regional focus in cooperation e.g. with other institutions or conferences and analyze its outputs with the purpose to improve NCPs knowledge on organisation of such events. The final result will be a guideline on “How to prepare a successful Brokerage Event for the Theme Environment (including climate change)”.

The 5 transnational BE will have different thematic or regional focus. It is foreseen that the BE take place right after the publication of the Environment Calls and that a representative of the EC will be invited to present the topics of the specific scientific field.



For the organisation of each BE the task leader will be supported by partners from other countries who will promote the BE actively and will find at least 5-8 participants. The NCPs of the supporting countries will also participate at the BE and present additional ideas from their clients. The participation to the BE are free of charge and open to participants from all countries (Europe and International) and will be promoted by all the NCPs who are partner in the project.

Deliverables (brief description) and month of delivery:


  • D 2.1: Development and maintenance of the matchmaking software:
    Internet software for matchmaking and cooperation events will be installed and adapted to the specific needs for each of the five BE, 3 months before the BE takes place


  • D 2.2: Brokerage Event in Austria (Call 2010) with 80 participants

  • D 2.3: Brokerage Event in Turkey (Call 2011) with 100 participants

  • D 2.4: Brokerage Event in Malta (Call 2012) with 50 participants

  • D 2.5: Brokerage Event in Poland (Call 2013) with 100 participants

  • D 2.6: Brokerage Event in Portugal (Call 2013) with 80 participants
